The good news is that most mattress companies run Black Friday sales all week – or month! – so you’ll definitely be able to pick up a new mattress, or bundles of bedding and pillows at a discounted price.
When is Black Friday 2022?
Black Friday landed on November 25 – the day after Thanksgiving, which is traditionally celebrated in the US and falls on the fourth Thursday of November every year.
However, retailers started releasing deals as early as two weeks before, so it’s worth checking out retailer websites ahead of time.

When is Cyber Monday?
Cyber Monday falls on November 28 this year and as the online-only extension of Black Friday, you’ll find there are loads more deals and offers to be discovered.
Oftentimes, Cyber Monday is the last day to snap up a great deal before Christmas, so if you’re planning on making a purchase be sure to do so before the day is out.
Is Black Friday the best time to buy a mattress?
Because online mattress sellers are so competitive, you can find a pretty hefty discount on mattresses all year round.
For instance, Simba regularly offers between 25% and 35% off its mattresses, and Emma occasionally offers up to 40% off, too.
However, Black Friday is pretty much guaranteed to see a discount – often of up to 50% – on whatever brand of mattress you favour, including more affordable brands such as Nectar.
That means, in terms of discount selection, Black Friday probably is the best time of year to buy a new mattress.
Is it better to buy a mattress on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
We think if you’re buying online, there won’t be a big difference between the sale prices on Black Friday and Cyber Monday – we’re expecting most “bed in a box” companies to have a flat discount rate or promotion that will span the entire Black Friday weekend.
What was in the Black Friday mattress sale last year?
There were loads of amazing deals in the 2021 sale, giving you big discounts across a range of mattresses and brands.
For example, Emma offered a 50% discount, with its Original Mattress Bundle discounted to £363.50 for a single and £533 for a double. The double bundle came with two Emma pillows and a mattress protector.
Amazon offered hundreds of pounds off mattresses of all sizes from a number of brands, including one of SE’s favourites, Emma Sleep.
Meanwhile DreamCloud’s 2021 Black Friday sale gifted customers a massive 45% off any of its mattresses, as well as 30% off bed frames.

It’s definitely worth shopping around to find the best deal for you this Black Friday.
