FOOTBALL fans are being urged to check their TV is up to date if they want to continue watching Premier League games.
Now TV will not be available for older Samsung smart TVs with inbuilt internet access from September 5.

Now TV customers will have to order a £30 Amazon Fire TV Stick
Customers will have to order a £30 Amazon Fire TV stick, which plugs into the side of the television and streams using wi-fi, to have access.
A Now TV spokesman said: “We continually review all devices that house our app to ensure they support its full functionality.
“On this occasion, we have discontinued several older TV models, which no longer support key accessibility functions due to app improvements.”
The Sky streaming service reduced its annual sports membership from £39.99 per month to £25 per month ahead of football season.
But some football fans are furious that may have to fork out more money to follow their favourite team.
One Twitter user asked Now TV’s customers service social media team: “Just been noticed that you’re no longer supporting my Samsung TV.
“What recommendations do you suggest to continue watching Now on my TV?
“Can’t really afford a new TV just to watch Now.”
Another said: ‘So, from the September 5, the Now TV app will stop working on my Samsung TV.
“Can you send me a Now TV box so I can continue my subscription, or do I just cancel it?”
Customers will be able to get a free Fire stick from Amazon if they use a promotion code Now TV sent to its customers via email.
It will be valid until November 2.
How can I check if my TV will be affected?
From 5 September, the NOW app will no longer be supported on Samsung 2014 and 2015 TVs.
To find out when your TV was made, you can look in the user manual that came with your set, or you can check your model number here.
How do I cancel Now TV?
Whatever your subscription, if you’re looking to cancel it, you can follow these simple instructions.
But it’s important to remember that if you cancel, you won’t be able to watch the football or any other content through Now TV.
Start by logging into your Now TV account online.
Then click the My Account button which can be found in the top right-hand corner of the screen. A drop down menu should pop up on your screen.
Next, click on the Passes and Vouchers option in the list.
Select the pass you are wishing to cancel and press the Cancel Pass button.
You will then be asked to select a reason for why you are cancelling that specific subscription. Click the reason for your cancellation.
A further screen will appear asking if you wish to cancel. If you are happy to carry on click I still want to cancel.
A confirmation message will then appear on screen and you will also receive an email to your registered account.
Is there a cancellation fee for Now TV?
No – you will not be charged to cancel your Now TV subscription.
The internet TV service, which is operated by broadcaster Sky, will take the specified payment for that month.
You will still be able to access the relevant subscription up until the end of the month you have paid for.
Earlier this year, Now TV customers were told to be aware that a £5 a month Boost package could have been automatically added to their account after signing up to a free trial.
Boost allows subscribers to watch programmes in HD without advertisements on a number of different devices.
If gone unnoticed, the extra fee could add £60 a year to your bill.
SE put together a guide on how you can check if this fee has been applied to your bill.
