Check out these great deals and ideas . . .

TASTE THE WORLD: Travel without leaving your kitchen table by sampling soups from round the world.

Tesco Finest soups, 600g, are £2.75, or Clubcard holders can get two for £4 on selected varieties, including Moroccan Inspired Chicken.

CRUNCH TIME: Add some tasty homemade croutons to take your soup to the next level.

Just cut some bread into cubes, mix with garlic, oil and herbs and cook in the oven for around ten minutes.

You can keep them in an air-tight container for up to two weeks.

LUNCH FOR LESS: Sainsbury’s has Baxters Favourites for £1, saving 60p, with flavours including Scotch broth and French onion.

At Asda, you can get New Covent Garden soups for £1.50, down from £1.99, with flavours including vegetable, spiced butternut and classic chicken.

SOUPER IDEAS: With a stock cube and a few wilting vegetables, a tasty homemade lunch is just a few minutes away.

Homemade leek and potato soup, or pea and mint, or even a simple minestrone will bowl over the family and stop food going in the bin.

Search “soup” at lovefoodhatewaste.com for the easiest ideas.

HAS TO BE HEINZ: If you’re a label-lover, head to Morrisons where you can get four 400g tins of Heinz soups, including the much-loved Cream of Tomato, for £4.

They’re £1.45 each, so you’ll be saving a tasty £1.80.

SIMPLY TOPPING: Take your lunch from good to great with a tasty soup topper.

Pile on fried onions, chopped herbs or toasted nuts.

Grate over cheddar, Parmesan or any cheese you fancy, or add a dollop of pesto or cream.
