Shoppers are going wild for Asda’s new Christmas item – and they’re all saying the same thing

ASDA is selling a festive favourite with a twist and shoppers are excited to give it a go.

The supermarket chain is selling a giant mince pie across stores and online.

Asda is stocking a giant mince pie for £4.50

The vegetarian festive treat comes in at £4.50 and a whopping 1,806 calories – so it’s definitely one to indulge in over Christmas time.

Shoppers have been sharing their excitement at the arrival of the new sweet treat after it hit supermarket shelves.

One customer has already tried one and was full of praise.

They said: “They taste amazing. The crumble ones are delicious too.”

Another simply said: “Shut up and take my money!”

While a third added: “I need one.”

Of course, when supermarket food shopping, it’s always worth checking around for the best prices.

You might find the same product cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk for example help you compare prices across supermarkets to find the best deals.

We couldn’t find any other supermarkets selling a giant mince pie.

So if you want to treat yourself to a mega treat, you’ll have to head down to your nearest Asda or order one online.

You can locate your closest store on the Asda website.

The product is on sale for £4.50 and we’ve asked Asda how big it is to compare it to its smaller versions in terms of cost.

However, if you don’t want to splash out on the giant version, you can buy a normal six-pack for £1.25, saving yourself £3.25.

The supermarket’s luxury range ones go for £2.50, so they’re cheaper than the giant Asda mince pie as well.

Or you could head to a different supermarket.

Sainsbury’s is selling four Taste the Difference mince pies for £2.25, while Morrisons is selling six mince pies from its The Best range for £2.25.

It comes after we revealed the cheapest place to buy Cadbury Heroes this week was Asda.

The supermarket chain also recently launched a £1 meal deal for over-60s to help them through the cost of living crisis.
