AN ANGRY mother has slammed Argos after spotting a children’s toy on sale for more than double the price of B&M.
The mum posted on Facebook after clocking a Barbie Fast Cast Clinic Playset with Barbie Doctor Doll on sale for £56 at Argos online.

But the same toy is on sale for £49.99 at The Entertainer and £26.99 at Smyths, in Ireland.
The woman said: “I just want to warn people of the extortionate prices or barbie in Argos!
“My daughter wants all Barbie for Christmas so I have started shopping around like I always do.
“Now don’t get me wrong, I know some places differ in price, but Argos are substantially more expensive, and not just by a few pounds!
“I’m not sure how they are getting away with it!”
The mother shared more examples of other products she’d spotted at drastically different prices across various retailers.
One was a Barbie Doll and Pet Boutique Playset with 4 Pets, on sale for £37 at Argos, but priced at £22.99 in Smyths.
A Barbie Sparkle Mask Day Spa Playset and Doll was on sale for £28 in Argos’ clearance sale but the same product was going for £16.99 at B&M.
Another mum added she had noticed a Barbie Dream Plane Transforming Playset being sold for £105 at Argos while in Smyth’s it was on sale for £60.
While another said: “I’ve always found Argos toys expensive!
“The Entertainer often have good deals on, and I got Barbie stuff on Amazon last year fairly cheap.”
We checked online to see if there were any other places to get the Barbie Fast Cast Clinic Playset with Barbie Doctor Doll set for cheaper than Argos.
WHSmith was selling was one £48.99 down from £70 and Boots was selling one for £54.99.
JD Williams was selling one for £55.99, down from £70.
An Argos spokesperson said: “Prices are influenced by a range of factors.
“We’re committed to offering our customers great choice and value across a wide range of products.”
Of course, you should always shop around for the best deals as prices for the same product may vary across different stores.
Sites such as Pricespy.co.uk and CamelCamelCamel will be able to tell you if you can get something cheaper elsewhere.
Meanwhile, price monitoring site PriceHistory.co.uk can tell you if Argos has ever stocked the same toys for less to give you an indication of when the best time to buy is.
Or you can check manually by typing the name of the product into Google and seeing what prices come up.
We recently found Argos’ top 15 toys for Christmas could sometimes be bought for cheaper elsewhere, although that wasn’t always the case.
Argos is currently selling a Paw Patrol big truck pump for £18 and when we looked online couldn’t find it cheaper in other stores.
The retailer is selling a Squishmallow for £18 as well – £12 cheaper than similar squishmallows on sale at Claire’s.
