MORRISONS shoppers have been left shocked over the price of instant coffee.
The supermarket giant has been slammed over the “insane” cost of Nescafe Gold Alta Rica coffee.

Shoppers have slammed the supermarket over the price of popular instant coffee
Posting on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, Angela Howells-Owen said: “Popped into Morrisons yesterday to pick some coffee up (Nescafe Alta Rica) and got to the till and it scanned at £9.00.
“I obviously queried it and they said it was correct! Got a refund and went to Home Bargains.
“Just sharing in case any body else buys it as part of a big shop, I don’t always check.”
Indeed the coffee is priced at nearly a tenner on the Morrisons website.

The supermarket is charging customers £9 for a 190g jar of the Alta Rica instant coffer – a whole £3.50 more expensive than the price offered by other supermarkets including Asda, Ocado, Tesco and Waitrose.
In response to Ms Howells-Owen’s post, Aileen McCallum slammed the supermarket and said: “Morrisons is starting to take the p**s with their prices on just about everything.
“And I’m not talking about five to 10p. Sometimes it is quite a bit extra. Soon mounts up if you’re purchasing quite a few items.
“My dog’s food has gone up 60p in a couple of weeks, a Morrisons’ loaf from 45-89p. Then had the cheek to put it on offer at 85p. Although it’s my closest, I’m gonna start shopping elsewhere.”
Another customer said: “I stopped shopping there, I was a loyal customer for years. But cannot justify these insane prices.”
