CHRISTMAS is on the way, which means Aldi is pulling out all the stops to start festivities.
Shoppers have now spotted a tasty treat on the supermarket’s shelves this season – and it only sets them back 18p.

Aldi has a brand new Christmas treat on shelves now
Aldi has launched a popular mince pie range this month for shoppers to dig their teeth into.
Many have excitedly taken to social media to share the finding.
One posted: “Aldi has mince pies – this is not a drill!”
Another put: “Today I saw mince pies in Aldi… I then brought said mince pies.”
And one more gushed: “My personal favourite is Aldi’s salted caramel crumble mince pie.”
The pies come in packs of six for £1.09 per box – meaning it costs around 18p per pie.
This is the cheapest range, but you can also choose from a selection of flavours including almond, sloe gin and classic butter mince pies, but these are just the ones listed online.
Bear in mind other flavours will set you back £2.99 for six – so 50p per pie.
Stock may vary per store, so we recommend calling up first to ask what’s on shelves to avoid disappointment.
You can find your local Aldi using this handy store locator.
And remember to factor in delivery charges if you’re ordering to your home – standard delivery costs an extra £4.95 but it could be more if you live further away or you want your food to arrive tomorrow.
Meanwhile, you can bag a pack of six mince pies for £1.25 from Tesco. And remember you can check if you have any Clubcard deals to use too, so it might be worth a look there.
Morrisons also sell a box of six for £1.25 – which equals about 21p per pie.
But Sainsbury’s sell six for £2.25 – so be sure to look around other supermarkets first before buying.
Spotting deals at supermarkets
It’s always a good idea to know where to look for the best bargains at the shops.
To start with, supermarket scanners can help you tally up the cost of your shop before you reach the checkout – stopping you from going over budget.
It can help you if you normally meal-prep – making sure you stay consistent with costs calculate as you buy.
Scanners are available in Sainsbury’s, Tesco and more, but you might need to have their apps installed first. There will be a section telling you how to access one.
Also, to keep customers coming back, supermarkets often launch loyalty schemes.
For example, you can get vouchers, exclusive money-saving deals and lower prices on grub by signing up.
They’re usually free to join too, so you have nothing to lose by scanning your loyalty card next time you shop.
You might even find your bill automatically lowers at the checkout when you do this.
