Aldi shoppers praise £35 bargain cosy fleece duvet set ‘ideal’ for winter

ALDI shoppers have been heaping praise on a fleece duvet set that is “value for money and super snuggly”.

The German retailer is known for its affordable food and SpecialBuys, which usually attract a lot of fanfare.

The Aldi check printed fleece king duvet set

Now, the supermarket chain has started selling a £34.99 check printed fleece king duvet set.

And customers have been full of positive reviews.

Talking about the product on Aldi’s website, one customer said: “Lovely bedding. Feels so soft. Would definitely recommend, great price too.”

Another happy customer said: “Warm and cosy, ideal for the cold months ahead.”

While a third person added: “Value for money, lovely quality and super snuggly.

“It’s not quite cold enough but after putting this on my bed it made it quite difficult to get out.”

The duvet cover is 230cm by 220cm in size and machine washable. Aldi recommends using a 40°C setting on your washing machine.

The set also comes with two pillowcases.

Standard delivery would usually be £2.95 but because the product is over £30, it’s free.

Next day delivery will set you back £3.95 while you can pick one up from your nearest CollectPlus spot for £2.95.

CollectPlus is a service where you can get shopping items delivered to thousands of newsagents, convenience stores, supermarkets and petrol stations to be picked up.

Of course, it’s always worth shopping around for the best deals to see if you’re getting the best value for money.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk can be really helpful to cross compare supermarket prices.

Or you can just type the name of the product into Google and then hit the “Shopping” tab which will show you a number of products that come under that search term.

When we looked online for fleece king duvet sets, we found a few websites selling them for cheaper than Aldi’s £34.99 set.

Homebase was selling a similar set for £14 while Wowcher was selling a set in a range of colours for £19.99.

Online Home Shop was selling a set for £10 as well.

How else can I save on my shop at Aldi?

If you’re an avid Aldi shopper, there are a number of ways you cut your costs at the supermarket chain.

A TikTok user revealed how shopping there on a Wednesday can help you cut costs as that’s when all the reduced prices are launched.

Plus, you can keep an eye out for red stickers which show when a product is reduced.

This might throw some shoppers off as discount stickers are usually yellow.

On top of this, you can save on “fakeaways”, which involves cooking up your favourite fast food but with products from Aldi.

An Aldi worker revealed the guaranteed way of getting a discount at the tills, plus the best times to shop.

And an Aldi-loving mum shared how she saves £8.5k a year with her simply shopping and meal prep hacks.
