Aldi Christmas hampers are back – and they look just like Fortnum and Mason but are £100 cheaper

ALDI has brought back its popular Christmas hampers that are a copycat of posh Fortnum and Mason.

The discounter’s box of goodies are popular for the festive season and often sell out.

Aldi is selling four Christmas hampers of different sizes and prices range from £49.99 to £174.99.

The afternoon treats hamper is the cheapest at £49.99 and then there’s the £74.99 luxury collection hamper.

Meanwhile you’ll get the Christmas feast hamper for £99.99.

Finally the priciest box of goodies is the ultimate decadence hamper which will set you back £174.99.

Fortnum and Mason’s cheapest hamper is £45 and the priciest comes in at an eye-watering £1,000.

Aldi says its £99.99 Christmas feast hamper comes in £100 cheaper than Fortnum and Mason’s classic Christmas version.

Last year Aldi brought out a similar range of Christmas hampers with nine different options available.

All four hampers on sale this year are more expensive than in 2021, by as much as £25.

The afternoon treats hamper was £39.99 last Christmas and so is £10 more this year, while the luxury collection hamper was £59.99 last year and is £15 more expensive in 2022.

Meanwhile, the Christmas feast hamper was £79.99 in 2021, and you’ll now pay £20 more.

And the ultimate decadence hamper was £149.99 last year but is £174.99 this year – an increase of £25.

It comes amid rising prices and with inflation at around 10%

Of course, it’s always worth shopping around for the best deals as you might be able to find a product on sale for cheaper.

We also checked out whether you could get Christmas hampers at other supermarkets for cheaper this year.

It’s hard to compare as not all hampers have the same things inside.

Virginia Hayward is selling a festive box for £19.99, ideal if you’re on a budget.

Meanwhile, Wilko is selling a Christmas basket for just £6.

All of the Aldi hampers are available to buy online, and two of them are available in store: the ultimate decadence and luxury collection.

Home delivery if you’re ordering on the Aldi website will cost either £2.95 or £4.95, depending on the size.

Standard delivery means you should get your package within three to five working days.

Here’s what you’ll get in each hamper from Aldi.
