Eeyore 50p: how much is it worth?

THE ROYAL Mint launched their Winnie the Pooh 50p coins in 2020, and fans were delighted when Eeyore joined the gang.

The set of 50p coins was created celebrating the birth of the real Christopher Robin, the inspiration behind the character name and son of author AA Milne.

The first collection featured Pooh, Piglet and Christopher Robin before the second collection featured a Winnie the Pooh coin and the character additions of Owl and Tigger.

A third set was released featuring Eeyore and Kanga & Roo.

Royal Mint writes about Eeyore: “Kind and generous at heart, Disney’s Eeyore may be a little glum at times but the Hundred Acre Wood just wouldn’t be the same without the blue-grey donkey.”

The coins were a collaboration with Disney and were created by Royal Mint designer Daniel Thorne.

Eeyore’s 50p features the much-loved donkey character with a little bee.

Each coin can be purchased from The Royal Mint and you can grab the coin for £10 or a colour version for £20.

And if you’re feeling really generous you can buy the gold proof coin for a whopping £1,150, however you’ll need to be quick as stocks are low.

These coins are uncirculated so you won’t find one hanging about in your loose change, but you might be able to snap one up online:
